Cosmetic Haul – Sleek MakeUp

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all well and have had a lovely weekend! All set for the week ahead?

What better way to end the month of January than to bring you a makeup Haul from the festive season! During the December sales, Sleek cosmetics had promotions on certain products which I felt I could not miss out on. I have previously tried their eyeshadow palettes and their lipsticks. I was indeed pleasantly surprised. I have been interested in trying their face products for a while and during the sales found a good opportunity to do so. At first, I must admit, I was a little reluctant to place the order on the website given that the post and package fee is a little on the higher side (closer to the £5 mark). However, balancing that with the number of items ordered, the discounts during the sales period, and the fact that the delivery is a tracked service, I thought I should treat myself!

Tea Tox

Hi Everyone,
I hope you are all well and have enjoyed the festive season!

After all the festivities of the end and beginning of the year, along with excess consumption of all those delicious meals and treats, we reach a point where we wish to shed a few pounds or more. We may arrive at a stage where we wonder ‘where has my waistline gone…?’ Some may choose to embark on diets, trips to the gym, whilst others embrace (willingly or reluctantly) both diets and exercise regimes.

I am not one who tends to follow strict diets. I prefer incorporating healthy ways to eat and exercise routines in my lifestyle so that it becomes something easy to follow rather than a nightmare which is hard to bear.

I recently took part in an online event and was kindly sent a gift from Slendertoxtea, an online health supplement company. I received their Daytox and a packet of the Sleeptox which I am looking forward to trying.  They state on the website: ‘Slendertoxtea is a 100% herbal, clean detox blend developed from a South East Asian botanicals, you can benefit from.’ The plans for the day and night range from 14 days to 3 months and can be used by both women and men.

Daytox
The Daytox should be taken every morning as near to waking for the duration of the tea tox period.

Ingredients:
Green Tea (leaf)
Mate (leaf)
Hawthorn (berry)
Tea (flower)
Fennel (seed)
Dandelion (leaf)
Stinging Nettle (leaf)

Sleeptox
This should be taken every other night a few hours before going to sleep.

Ingredients:
Valerian (root)
Senna (leaf)
Sacred Lotus (leaf)
Hawthorn (berry)
Tea (flower)
Orange (fruit)
Chinese Rhubarb (root)

One thing I did notice when opening the packet, was that the little tag on the tea bags, be it from the Daytox or the Sleeptox, were both the same colour. They were both red with no indication of which tea tox the bag was from. I removed a couple from each packet and for one of them I did end up getting a little confused as to whether it was the one for day or night! I think it would have been great to have a different colour tag or some sort of indication on the tag to make it clear which tea tox it was to avoid confusion and mixtures.

I do like my herbal teas with peppermints and chamomile being my favourite. I am looking forward to trying something new starting with these teas. Let me know what you do to shed the pounds. If you have tried the Slendertoxtea, I would love to hear your thoughts on the product and how you got on with them.

Till next mes amies!

Reflection

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all well. It is that time of year again… the point at which we bid farewell to the year that passes and welcome a New Year. For some, this period signifies a new start, a new beginning. For others, it is simply an extension of the previous, with no break between the old and the new. No matter how you view this point, with each moment and day that goes by, we experience life in all its glories as well as its trials and tribulations. As we look back, we can all surely say that we have indeed experienced something new and learnt something different.

Frankly, I’m not quite sure where 2015 went. It was a year which simply flew by! What would you say was your most striking memories of the past year? Did you welcome new relationships, said goodbye to a loved one, embarked on a new journey be it starting a new school or job or perhaps travelled to a lovely destination? No matter how big or small, the beauty of life are those moments we find peace and joy in. Sometimes happiness can be found in the simplest of things. What are the moments which you treasure and the moments that fill you with warmth?

The extraordinary thing about life is that nothing lasts for forever. I think it is absolutely spectacular that no matter what life offers in a moment, once that moment passes it becomes history, a part of your past, yesterday. Whether the year that passes has been one filled with joy and success or one which has turned out not so peachy and not quite as you had hoped, my advice to you would be to have no regrets. Each day and moment which we are blessed with is a chance for you to seek new opportunities, right those wrongs, find peace within, give happiness a chance and don’t dwell on the negative. Remember, no sorrow or hurt will be present permanently. Time heals and make the most of the time you have whilst today is still here. Don’t delay and wait for tomorrow as none of us know what tomorrow holds. If there is something you wish to accomplish, a relationship you want to mend, a friend you want speak to, a family member you want to see, make it happen and don’t let a moment slip by and ponder on ‘what if…’, ‘I should/could/would have…’ We can be more than just dreamers.
I would love to hear from you! Let me know your new year’s resolution is, the memories you will cherish and those you are happy to be saying goodbye to from the past year and what you are looking forward to for the new year which is upon us.

Feel free to leave me a comment and a link to your blog if you have one.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all peace, happiness and health.

Remember to wear your smile with dignity :)
